Abstract

|
Intensive care unit (ICU) survivors and their families often experience wide spectrum of complications, including muscle weakness, cognitive impairments, and mental problem. It prolonged for years even after hospital discharge. PICS (Post Intensive Care Syndrome) is the term to define these impairments for ICU survivors and their families across the continuum of care. Recent studies focused on early rehabilitation for better prognosis in ICU survivors. Currently, early rehabilitation in ICU showed significant improvements in physical state of ICU survivors.
